These wheels ride over the sand perfectly. the wheel base is wide a difficult to get through some openings. also the base should be longer to hold more it can easily handle the load.

We purchased this hoping it would work for carrying ice chest, beach chairs and umbrella to the beach. It is a challenge getting those items secured to this 'hand truck' style beach cart. Umbrella interferes with handle, and it takes some time and pseudo-engineering to secure items so that they stay in place while getting to your destination.
It does fold into a compact package, which works great for loading into RV storage bays. Probably the most compact storable beach cart available. And the "Wheel-eze" tires do float on the sand which makes it easy to pull. If compact stowing is not required, a cart may work better for you than this 'dolly'.

AFTER YEAR OF LUGGING "STUFF" AND LOTS OF IT - MY HUSBAND ENJOYED GOING AND COMING TO THE BEACH - HE WAS ALWAYS THE "PACK MULE" - BUT, NO LONGER. WITH MUCH EASE HE COULD CARRY FOUR CHAIRS, ICE CHEST, 2 UMBRELLAS, TOYS AND BEACH BAG WITH ONE HAND. IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN - YOU NEED THIS. THE WHEELS DON'T STALL IN THE SAND - IT WAS WONDERFUL.
IT'S A SHAME WE DIDN'T HAVE THIS 30 YEARS AGO.

Very durable and easy to use beach cart. Rides smoothly across both hard packed and soft sand even when loaded with a cooler, chairs, sun-shelter and body boards. Works better with bungy cords than the included straps. Got lots of positive comments from the other beach goers.
