We bought this umbrella instead of a way expensive patio umbrella and haven't regretted it. We also bought a sand anchor and have simply anchored it in a bucket of sand.
One small issue: the internal ribs of the umbrella sometimes come out of their stays - it is very easy to fix, but it is minorly annoying.

This is the best beach umbrella for almost 100% sun protection. It also stands up to extensive wind gusts and salt corrosion. We bought this product four years ago and are still using the original one. Needed another one for our friends and family.

Great for any beach. Love the sun, don't want the damage. Live in the midwest, love the summer , take it with us when we go to Florida in the winter.

We brought this umbrella on vacation to Florida and used it at the beach. We stuck it right down into the sand out in the shallow water and laid under it - so awesome! It was accepted as a carry-on on the plane. We also used it as a "sail" in our canoe! We love it, and we can't believe the excellent quality for this price.

It is a great little umbrella that can indeed handle the wind. I use it to block some of the sunlight that relentlessly enters my living room between 3 and 7 PM everyday given that I like to set up my desk right by the window. I connect it to the railing of the balcony which serves as a perfect place to attach the base. This way, I can still enjoy the view outside while getting some protection from direct sunlight. I live close to the beach so it is almost always anywhere from breezy to quite windy; the Windbrella handles the wind with no problem. My only wish is that it were a bit larger; 7 feet would have been great.
