I couldn't believe how perfect this chair was for the beach. It is just the right hight so you are not sitting in the sand like most of those 9" chairs. You can actually stand up without falling in the sand first. It also allows you to adjust your position and has a high back to support your neck as you are taking in the sun. This is a great chair and should be labeled "for adults only".
