I purchased this after the competing anchor flew into the ocean attached to our previous umbrella. This time around, I was going as heavy duty as possible. This anchor is worth the extra $$. The coil travels all the way up the anchor, making it easier to screw into the sand. It keeps a very firm hold on our 8ft umbrella. Would highly recommend!

I would highly recommend this sand anchor for anyone who wants an umbrella to stay put in the sand on the beach. Before this, our umbrella flew away 3 x's; after purchasing the anchor - no fly zone for us! My husband was amazed on how well it worked. Now I want a bigger umbrella for next summer.

Spending the extra money for the heavy duty sand anchor was definitely worthwhile. It provided greater stability even when the day was quite breezy.

This is a serious sand anchor. We used it this summer at the beach to hold our umbrella. Great product. I am glad I purchased it and do not expect to need another one for a long time.
